Volunteering in Uganda
2025
As part of my volunteering work for the Kagaali foundation that offers support for 75 orphans and abandoned children, and 30 elderly women in their community in East Uganda, I set up a successful GoFundMe campaign to gather funds for buying school supplies, so that the children could start their school year in September 2025. The results can be witnessed in the video.
Volunteering on Lesvos, Greece 2025
The ladies who run Amazones Eco Land, a feminist eco-community on the Greek island of Lesvos, asked me if I wanted to help them out managing the team of volunteers in their absence. That became an amazing experience with countless laughs, some tears, and many lessons learned. Here’s their reaction after my departure:

Villa Pardoes Charity Run

Villa Pardoes is a charity that is loosely linked to the Dutch Theme Park Efteling. It offers families with very sick children a one-week escape from their lives which are often marked by endless hospital visits.
As the major theme of The Efteling is fairy tales, I conducted an online poll asking my audience as which fairy tale character I should run the 10 kilometers. It’s fairly obvious which character won the contest…
